Dagestan Tur Hunting In Azerbaijan

TRIP SPECIFICS

How to get there: After arriving to the capital city of Azerbaijan 'Baku', we recommend that you stay one night in the city to relax and get ready for the next couple of days. On day 2, will be ground transferred (4-5 hours drive on good roads) to the hunting area. After that, you will jump on a truck into the Caucassus mountains to get to hunting camp.

Hunting Season: Your Dagestan Tur hunt can be arranged anytime from the 1st of June until the 31st of December.

Species: Dagestan (Eastern) Tur is the main species when hunting in Azerbaijan. There's also Bear, Caucasian Chamois, Roe Deer and Wild Boar.

Accommodations and food: Normally, you will be staying in one of the several well-equpped hunting camps (furniture, kitchen, generator and trophy care facilities are all available). There is also a full-time cook who makes traditional European dishes. But If going during the early season, you may hunt using fly camps where you sleep in a sleeping bag under your tent in very remote areas. For this type of hunting, you must be physycally and mentally prepared, as you will be eating very basic food (Meat, vegetables, etc.) and sleeping in a very modest tented camp.

Typical Itinerary:

*Your Dagestan Tur Hunt is generally a 5 hunting days trip

Day 1:  Arrival to Baku... Overnight at the hotel.

Days 2: Transfer to base camp

Days 3 to 7 : Full days of mountain hunting for Dagestan Tur (The hunt stops as soon as your Dagestan Tur trophy is taken, unless you want to hunt another trophy or some other species).

Day 8: Drive back to Baku so you can catch your return flight back home.

Rates Include:

·       Meeting and customs clearance at Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD)

·      All transfers and ground transports during hunting trip

·      Meals from Baku to hunting camp and back

·      Horses (not in all hunt areas!)

·      Accommodation in hunting house (light, hot shower, restroom)

·      Unlimited quantity of meals during all hunting period

·      Nonalcoholic drinks and alcohol drinks (in moderate amount)

·      Complete hunting organization with professional guides (minimum 2 guides per hunter)

·      Export permit for trophy from Ministry of ecology

·      Veterinary certificate

·      Skinning and field preparation of trophies (hunter takes skin, skull and horns with him)

·      Banquet in national restaurant in last day in Baku

Rates Exclude:

·      International flights

·      Online Visa fee 150$ per person (Can be sent with the deposit)

·      Rifle hire (if needed)

·      Hotel in Baku before and after the hunt (we can assist to select hotel)

·       Gratuities (we advise $250 per guide and $80 for cook per hunter)

·      Leaving your group back to Baku (separate from group’s intended return date)
