At Huntourage, we have access to some of the best dove and pigeon shooting grounds in South Africa! You will be shooting several species including the cape turtle dove, red-eyed dove, mourning dove, laughing dove, rock pigeons and much more! Contrary to popular belief, shooting doves and pigeons is very beneficial for the local communities, farmers and agriculture! These birds are considered as pests by most farmers in South Africa as they destroy more than third of their sunflower and peanut crops each year! High volume dove shooting is done in the mornings and afternoons, while decoyed pigeon shooting is more of a mid-day affair. It's not unusual to shoot more than 500 cartridges per hunter per session... Every single dove or pigeon will be donated to the local communities!
